Charlotte Marlow - online shop
Charlotte Marlow draws on her art and dance background for the sculpting these original pieces. Each piece is sculpted in terracotta clay or wax. A mould is made by applying a very thin layer of silicon to the sculptured piece, then covering it with an outer clay body. A fiberglass support case is built around this outer clay. The outer clay is then removed and replaced with silicon forming a thick silicon mould. The original sculpture is removed and therefore lost. The mould is then used to create works of art in cold cast metals, usually in bronze. However Charlotte also likes to cast in Local slate from the famous Delebole quarry.
