CELABRATING 40 YEARS A POTTER Tim started pottery as a hobby shortly after leaving the Royal Navy and it soon took over his life. He moved to Tavistock in 1980, after deciding to do it for a living. For 22 years he had a shop in the craft arcade in the centre of Tavistock where he worked before the public, but now works in the peace and solitude of a barn on Dartmoor. Tim works mainly in stoneware, making a wide range of functional domestic items, which are fired to a temperature of 1260c. He mixes his own glazes, the most popular of which is a cobalt blue. is also available to order. Both are fully suitable for use in a normal oven or microwave and in the dishwasher. Tim's pieces are used by many B&B's and coffee shops near his pottery in Tavistock, Devon.
